Bacon and Sprouts
Bacon and Sprouts. Maybe the best combo ever. But bacon with anything creates the best combo ever. True story.
What you need:
1 lb sprouts (I like to find packages of shredded sprouts, or ones that are already finely cut up. I know it’s more expensive, but it saves me a step where I really need it. Cutting small things is kinda hard sometimes!) (I also find these cook better than big sprouts and therefore I like the taste better as well)
4-6 bacon slices (I like Applegate or this brand is AIP approved!)
if you are using whole sprouts, remove brown/faded/errant leaves, cut in small bits
cook bacon in pan, over medium heat, remove from pan, but save the fat for the sprouts to cook in. If there is a lot of fat, save some in a jar for later!
add sprouts to the pan and cook over medium heat until they have reached desired doneness
season with S&P and garnish with bacon prior to serving!
