#NailedIt

I had intended to write a post on what my day should have been. I should have been at six flags with work, but alas, I’m at home with day 3 of a migraine. Six flags and migraines don’t mix :/. So instead I decided I’d write about the yummy peanut butter chocolate chip pancakes I made myself this morning afternoon, for breakfast lunch. Then when I logged on, I saw it was World MS Day. I had seen this sometime last week, but forgotten until now, I think my subconscious remembered because peanut butter chocolate chip pancakes are rare, but I’m glad they were in front of me!Honestly, my drive to write a creatively fun post was deflated a bit, or a lot. Do we need an awareness day when we are aware of this every other day too? I get it, it’s just as much for others, the general population that isn’t affected, to help them become aware of the daily impact, I get all of that. It’s just one more reminder, but I guess what’s just one more at this point?
I looked on twitter to see what other people were saying under the #onedayms, and I found the expected things, ‘I wish one day there will be a cure’, ‘I wish one day I will be able to say remember when I HAD MS’, but I found one that was so dead on to how I feel on a daily basis ‘One day I’d like to have a random pain and not be confronted with my own mortality thanks to having a chronic illness. #onedayms #WMSD2014’ (@zigged) #nailedit.
