In MS world, I am doing ok. Tysabri has been in my life for a year, I think. No major issues to be had with it, knock on wood. That odd pain that was ricocheting around my body has quieted down, but has left an imprint in my hands. Opening jars will never be the same again. There is an odd numbness that still encompasses a large portion of my body, but I am starting to get used to it. Is it weird that we start to get used to such a gaping absence? Something so clearly ‘not normal’, but is a new reality? I suppose what other choice is there at some point, right?
I have taken advantage of the time off after surgery to recover and to create a new routine for myself. I have been focusing on healing my body and especially my gut. It is going to be a long road, but I’m willing and ready. It’s my body and life after all, the only one I’ve got. I’ll definitely be sharing my experiences and tips, so stay tuned!
