hey there,

Day 3 of a migraine. I’ve been getting migraines forr-eevvv-errrrrrr (10 pts for the movie reference). So I’m not sure if it has anything to do with MS per se, but I’m sure MS doesn’t help them go away. I’ve been on Topamax to help control them, but sometimes one finds its way in, and when it does, it’s there to stay, for days. Often they feel like an ice pick, on either side of my head, usually on my temple or behind my eyes. Can be rather debilitating too, much like everything else, but need to push through.

  1. I’m glad to hear about your migraines (not glad that you get migraines, but glad to hear of others who get them). I am still in “possible MS” stages of diagnosis, and my migraines are new. Doctor said it is not related to any of the MS symptoms he is watching, but is something else to watch as well. Hope you are able to push through.

That’s such a frustrating stage, the maybe yes maybe no stage. I was always just waiting for a diagnosis. Migraines can be a symptom of MS for sure, so be sure to watch them. Have you noticed any triggers or anything that helps?

      • Haven’t figured out the triggers yet. Just notice an increased light sensitivity before they come on, but by then it’s too late.

That’s frustrating. Triggers are hard to find for me too. Red wine is all I’ve figured out, such a bummer! Does anything help them?

          • Hopefully red wine isn’t one of my triggers! Doctor said he’d prescribe something, but I have avoided that path so far. They haven’t been debilitating yet; and I’ve been able to push through.

Hopefully you can avoid that for as long as possible, the topamax is a preventative med I take every day, guess it doesn’t work sometimes though!
